
‘Home Alone’ Released 35 Yrs Ago To Idaho Audiences
One of the world's most beloved holiday films recently celebrated an anniversary milestone. The movie catapulted the career of actor Macaulay Culkin at the age of nine.
December is the month for holiday movie marathons with family and friends. I've got my personal favorites, and one that easily lands in my top ten was released on November 16, 1990.
Macaulay Culkin is 45 years old now. His acting career has been an interesting one, having gone from portraying 'Kevin McCallister' in Home Alone to a vulgar-speaking hustler who associates with vampires in a recent season of American Horror Story.

Holiday Classic Home Alone Released 35 Years Ago
I can still recall being shocked when I watched Macaulay Culkin play the role of 'Mickey' in American Horror Story: Red Tide. It became available for streaming in 2021, and he played a vulgar-mouthed, aspiring writer who hung out with seaside vampires.
I mean, it could happen.
Culkin's career shot into the stratosphere after the film came out. He even caught the attention of music superstar Michael Jackson, but I think that was for different reasons.

Home Alone is considered one of the greatest holiday films of all-time by many, but is not Idaho's favorite Christmas movie, according to a recent survey by The Manuel. Christmas Vacation is the preferred holiday choice for the Gem State, according to the website.
States that did acknowledge Home Alone as its favorite were Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Virginia, and West Virginia.
