[UPDATE] Mainland Chinese Eating Infants Is Urban Legend

UPDATE: Snopes.com is reporting that this story is an Urban Legend. They've found the legend was most likely generated by a Chinese artist in 2000 who did a piece entitled "Eating People." The artist was investigated by the FBI and Scotland Yard, but both agencies found that no actual people had ever been ingested. I read this story and kept waiting for the JUST KIDDING, but it never came.  I must warn you, this story is disturbing, shocking, and disgusting.  You've been warned. 

There are reports coming from Mainland China, that the people there are eating infants: both aborted and infants near death.  They are considered a delicacy.

Honestly, I don't know what to say.  I get that cultures are unique and to each their own, but when it comes down to it, it's murder.  Murder because if you are intentionally killing an infant for consumption, that's murder.  Maybe this is a question about do animals have feelings or does a child that young have emotions, cognition, feelings?  I have a niece who just turned one years old and she definitely has a personality, is a little person.

OK off my soap box, back to the article.  Ms. Liu is a servant to a businessman in the Liaoning province who partakes in this so called delicacy:

Ms Liu also disclosed that even though people can afford the human parts there are still waiting lists and those with the right connections get the "highest quality" human parts, which translates to the more mature fetuses. A male fetus is considered the "prime" human part.

I'm gonna barf!  The article's writer concludes it well with a question:

What would make people do such a thing without any fear of condemnation? Since Mao's Cultural Revolution, a complete lack of morality and respect for human life has become the norm in China. Over time, domination by the Chinese Communist regime has led to inhuman behavior and human rights violations resulting in abnormal practices such as cannibalism.

Again, cultures are different and we may not understand them, but I do understand what murder is, we all do and I know murder is wrong.
