Cheap $19 Grill Easily Doubles As An Idaho Redneck Firepit
Barbeque season is in full effect in Idaho.
For those strapped for cash, I just found out there's a way to convert your cheap, two-wheeled barbeque grill into a decent redneck firepit that can hold up to eight, count em, eight logs.
Summer fun isn't just for the wealthy. A few years ago, we dropped $20 on one of those Walmart grills that are portable and easy to pack up for afternoons at the lake or river. Prior to this week, we'd only used it one time and it's sat collecting dust for more than five years.

Cheap $19 Barbeque Grill Easily Doubles as a Redneck Firepit
Last weekend I discovered all three of our propane tanks were empty, and it was too late to get them filled. So, I wheeled out our $19 Walmart grill and dusted it off. After the cooking was over, it got a bit chilly, then the idea came to me.
I noticed the briquettes were still white hot, so I grabbed a few logs of wood and tossed them in, and voila, it made for a perfect white trash firepit. It held up to three large logs and five underneath on the rack. I'm not sure how many other people have done this before, but if you haven't, you should give it a try.
