The United States annually has a high number of sightings of mythical creatures that cause skeptics to chuckle and believers to take notice. The mountains of western Montana are said to be stalked by a wolf-like creature that prays on dogs and is rooted in Native American spirituality.
A Mormon hunter in Montana is said to have shot and killed one in 1886, and at one point, the carcass of the creature found its way into the Idaho Museum of Natural History in Pocatello, according to the website.
