Social media influencers have found a way to make a living doing all sorts of stuff online. Some take very real risks to achieve an Internet presence.

One northwestern United States explorer recently shared his eerie journey into one of Idaho's most desolate regions after noticing a strange object on Google Maps and stumbling upon a burial place for the dead in the middle of the night.

Once published on November 19, 2025, the man's documented discovery video shot up to over 5,000 views in under five hours.

I've done some pretty crazy things in my years on this planet, but driving out into one of the most rural spots in America in the darkness of night in search of a strange anomaly seen on an Internet map is not one of them. Free time can have haunting consequences.

YouTuber Dave Explores has found a way to earn money online by seeking out adventures that take him to the most remote regions of the northwest. He recently drove more than 10 hours to the area of Yellow Pine, Idaho, approximately 140 miles north of Boise, in search of something he saw deep in the woods on Google Maps.

It turned out that what Dave saw online was a burial marker for one of the state's most off-grid graveyards, a site known as Battleground Cemetery. Only a few people are buried there, with markings dating back to the mid-nineteenth century.

The cemetery is located in a region of Idaho known as The Lost River Valley.
