BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Canyon County investigators are hoping a little Hollywood magic will help them solve a 6-month-old homicide case.

Lt. Chris McCormick tells KTVB-TV that the department has hired a local production company to re-enact the shooting death of Christopher Reese at a Notus store. Security cameras in the Jackson's Food Store show two suspects wearing dark balaclava-style face masks and gloves.

One carried a pistol and the other had a rifle. McCormick says Jackson's is allowing the production crew to use one if their stores to make the re-enactment as real as possible. In April, Justice Network and TV personality John Walsh aired short pre-produced segments about the unsolved case to more than 33 television markets nationwide. McCormick says he hopes the re-enactment will trigger memories and prompt new leads.
