Sheds are generally places that people keep things like gasoline cans, tools, extra furniture, and lawnmowers. Sheds are also used to conceal dark crimes at times.

Being chained in a dark, drafty room is something that gets written into Hollywood scripts every few years. Films like The Cell, Lovely Bones, Silence of the Lambs, Misery, Saw, and Heretic have all frightened us to the point where we're not entering a stranger's property anytime soon.

In the past eight years, a number of horrific crimes involving sheds have been carried out in states like Idaho, Utah, and Washington State. One was so gruesome that the suspect has landed on the nation's most wanted list and has never been captured. Who knows how many more have been perpetrated that police are unaware of.
