Idaho Youth Ranch to Close Downtown Thrift Store
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – A downtown business has decided to close shop, at least for a while.
The Idaho Youth Ranch, located at 162 Main Ave. East in downtown Twin Falls, will be shutting its doors on Feb. 3. The organization’s Thrift Store in Buhl also is set to close.
A company representative, however, tells News Radio 1310 that the Idaho Youth Ranch would like one day to return to Twin Falls.
“We are going to come back into Twin Falls sometime in the future,” said Jeff Myers, vice president of marketing and communications. “It’s a high-priority location for us, but no location has been identified.”
The organization understands that Twin Falls continues to grow, “that it’s a very robust market,” he said. But finding the right location and putting a store back in the community “might take a while.”
Myers said the layout of the current store and its location hasn’t worked out the way the organization had hoped. Five employees currently work at the Twin Falls store, he said.
The Buhl store is closing because of different market challenges, Myers said, noting “our stores in Jerome, Rupert and Burley will continue. We have no plans to close those stores.”
