Idaho’s Spookiest State Park Isn’t Far From the Magic Valley (WATCH)
Have you ever been to Land of the Yankee Fork State Park? Odds are that you've at least been to part of it. It's now been called the spookiest state park in all of Idaho and maybe America.
Only In Your State recently featured this. It's not so much a park as much as it is a region. It includes Custer, Bonanza and Bayhorse. As we've said before, we're big fans of the ghost town of Bayhorse. This area has remains of many of the buildings that are a part of its gold and mining past.
As the article mentions, Bayhorse hasn't been occupied for over 100 years. Or, I should say it hasn't been occupied by living humans. Many believe that other spirits reside there. There's even a Pinterest page devoted to the subject.
If you're up for an adventure, it's a leisurely 3 1/2 hour drive from Twin. Oh, and if you go, watch out for rattlesnakes. They live there, too.
