Most class action lawsuits aren't worth bothering with. But, in the case of a recent judgment involving fresh milk, it might be worth your while to submit your name to this one as there's a decent amount of money possibly owed to you.

Maybe you've heard of this one. It's the lawsuit, as reported by Business Insider, involving the National Milk Producers Federation where they were accused of price fixing. What does this mean to you? You could be owed a refund of up to $70 if you lived in Nevada, Oregon or 13 other states at some point since 2003. Here's the full list from the refund website:

  • Arizona, California, the District of Columbia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin

What do you do if you lived in one of those states? You go to the official website and submit a very simple form. NOTE: this is serious stuff, so you can't just pretend that you lived in Wisconsin as a dairy farmer and get paid. Perjury is not a fun activity if you don't like jail. And, you don't want to be the guy in prison who got busted for pretending to buy milk.

If this affects you, you're running out of time to do something about it. The claims period ends on January 31.
