UPDATE: Aguirre and Torres have also been charged with two counts of second degree kidnapping.

POCATELLO, Idaho (KLIX)-Two people are behind bars accused of stealing a car that had two children in it after a motorist tried to help them when they slid off an eastern Idaho roadway.

According to Idaho State Police, Raymond Aguirre, 24, and Bobbie Jo Torres, 29, both of Pocatello could be facing more charges in addition to grand theft when they allegedly took a Pontiac sedan on the evening of January 11, in Pocatello. ISP said in a statement the driver of the Pontiac G6 had stopped to help the two after their Dodge Dart slid off Interstate 15.

Aguirre and Torres then jumped into the Pontiac that had two juveniles still in it and fled. Less than an hour later Pocatello Police and Bannock County Sheriff's deputies found the stolen car at a home in Pocatello and arrested Aguirre and Torres. The two juveniles that had been in the Pontiac were later found at a relative's home. Other charges are pending in the ongoing investigation.
