The new trend to get fit and lose weight may not seem all that groundbreaking. Social media is exploding with ways to get fit without putting stress on your body and it centers around...walking.

Burn Calories Without Stressing Out Your Body

The idea is to take care of your body with a low intensity exercise that won’t stress your joints and is more sustainable. The latest is the “6-6-6" fat burning routine. If you want to try it, you need to wake up promptly at 6 AM.

Just kidding. The time isn’t as important, but the rest of the routine focuses on 6. Start by warming up for 6 minutes to get your body ready for the next 60 minutes of brisk walking, then wind the body down for 6 minutes.

Walking Can Be Overlooked for More Intense Workouts

Getting your heart pumping is the key to burning calories and getting in shape and walking is an enjoyable thing to do that will get the job done. If you can’t find the motivation to get outside, a pesky pet dog can help.

With so many beautiful trails just outside the door in Southern Utah, getting a walk in the cool fall months might be just what your body needs. Walking with friends is a great time to catch up and get some fresh air.
