If You’re Driving One Of These 8 Vehicles In Idaho, STOP NOW!
When you purchase a vehicle, you might think you know what you're getting, but anything can go wrong. Whether you unknowingly bought a lemon or inherited a problem that came from the manufacturer, anything can happen.
Hundreds Of Thousands Of Vehicles Are Being Recalled
General Motors announced a major recall that will no doubt give Idaho drivers some headaches. According to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM is recalling eight different models of vehicles due to possible engine damage... or even failure.
The number of vehicles that could be affected is absolutely staggering, with the recall covering nearly 600,000 vehicles.
According to the recall, the "connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components in these vehicles may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure."
This can be especially dangerous for drivers because if they're not prepared for the engine to lose propulsion, it can increase the risk of being involved in a crash.

Thankfully, the recall notice shared some things drivers can look for to determine if their vehicle might be one of the affected vehicles in the recall.
According to the recall notice, if you notice a "knocking, banging, or other unusual noises," you might have a problem. They also say if you're noticing the check engine light coming on, engine-performance issues like hesitation, high RPMs, abnormal shifting, or reduced propulsion, you could have one of the affected vehicles.
