Popular Coffee Chain With Several Idaho Locations Makes Controversial Change
Whether it's for a date or a business meeting, finding a casual place to go to meet in the middle of the day can be a challenge. Sure, in Boise we have several parks and public places where we can congregate... but sometimes you need a specific ambiance to make things more comfortable.
For many, that means meeting at a coffee shop... and why not? It's casual, typically calm, and comfortable.
Places In Boise To Meet For Coffee
It's no secret that the Treasure Valley is home to some amazing coffee shops. From Zero Six Coffee to Push & Pour, there is no shortage of options for coffee lovers to meet.
However, one of the most common coffee shops in the US made a decision that is seen as controversial by many.
Starbucks Makes A Controversial Change
For as long as many of us can remember, meeting at Starbucks has been the golden standard for initial meetings. Sure, you can go to a local spot but when it comes to convenience by location, there's no doubt that Starbucks has a leg up with locations seemingly everywhere.

According to a statement sent to Good Morning America by Starbucks, the coffee chain is looking to "prioritize their paying customers" by eliminating their "open-door policy."
To put it simply: if you're not paying, you're not staying.
"This means our cafes, patios, and restrooms are for customers and partners," Starbucks' director of corporate communications said.
"By setting clear expectations for behavior and use of our spaces, we can create a better environment for everyone. These updates are part of a broader set of changes we are making to enhance the cafe experience as we work to get back to Starbucks."
It's important to note that this doesn't include the licensed Starbucks locations inside of airports or Targets.
Still, the change will affect over 10,000 stores across the country.
We want to know what YOU think! Should Starbucks only allow paying customers or is this change unfair to non-paying customers?
