It's honestly hard to believe, and even a tough pill to swallow, but winter in Boise is almost here! Some people love winter and some people hate winter but either way when you're living in Boise you're going to have experience this chilly season.

One of the reasons people tend to dislike winter is all of the favorite spring and summer activities come to an end. The Boise Farmer's Market closes, there's no more floating the Boise river, and there's definitely a lack of summer sun in the Treasure Valley.

One more event that everyone loves is also coming to an end this month and that's the Capital City Public Market.

Have you been to this popular Idaho market?

This market has been around for 31 years, with their first year being 1994. Every year tons of vendors come out to participate in sharing with the local community. Whether it's food, art, or crafts there is a whole lot of different things at the Capital City Public Market.

Sadly, the Capital City Public Market will be coming to an end for the 2025 season in just a few weeks. December 20th will be the last day you can experience the Capital City Public Market this year so make sure you head out for their last few dates. They will be open for their final 3 weeks December 6, December 13, and finally December 20.

While we are sad to see the Capital City Public Market come to an end there are a ton of other winter Boise activities that are in full swing and ready to start up again for the season.
