Hourslong Idaho Standoff Ends With Woman Arrested
Do. Not. Point. A. Gun. At. Someone.
Especially. The. Police.
Okay. With that out of the way, let's get to the story.
A woman pointed a firearm at police during a standoff which took hours to unfold and come to an end.
Idaho Falls Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on an apartment. A call that's really nothing out of the ordinary. At least, it wasn't. At first.
When they arrived, they located the woman living at said apartment, and she proceed to point a firearm directly at police. Obviously, you can't do that, so they pulled out all the stops, using drones and breaking windows to teargas the apartment and apprehend the perp.
The as-yet-unidentified woman is getting booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against certain personnel. She also had felony and misdemeanor warrants, so, pretty sure she's not gonna have a great Christmas this year.
As of the writing of this article, the woman in question has not been proven guilty of any crimes yet and is presumed innocent.

Luckily, not all calls involving the police end up with stand-offs with guns pointed. Sometimes, it's your run-of-the-mill drug bust, just like you see on TV.
Until, it's not quite like the ones you see on shows.
