Boise residents waking up in the Southeast Boise area this morning may have heard a lot of action--sirens and overhead response to a fire that is blazing ridiculously close to homes.

Named the 'Valley Fire' by officials, about 2,000 acres has burned at their last count and several neighborhoods are on 'Get Set' status of an evacuation watch. Schools in Southeast Boise were also closed today because of the fires.

Those images certainly show how close the blaze is to residential areas.

Here's a look at some images being shared online from the Valley Fire, which broke out early this morning, Friday, October 4th:

As it stands right now, some residents in or near the Boise foothills are on evacuation watch.

Not long ago, the Plex Fire came dangerously close to residential areas in the City of Boise--luckily, crews were able to contain that.
