Postal Officials Warn Idaho Of Scam Involving White Envelopes
A similar scam that targeted Idaho residents through their mail boxes during the early days of the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak has resurfaced. Postal officials nationwide are warning Americans to watch out for an influx of white envelopes arriving from an address with New York-stamped postage.
Have you received any white envelops postmarked from New York in recent days? If so, you have fallen into a trap that hundreds of other Americans have to.
The crime is referred to a 'brushing scam,' and involves product rating originating from an overseas entity.

Another 'Brushing Scam' Is Targeting Americans Through Their Mail Boxes And Involves White Envelopes
The scam works for these criminals because once a person receives these envelopes the sender is notified, and begins using the receivers name to rate goods sold on sites like Walmart and Amazon. These bogus reviews can be used in an attempt to damage a business's reputation and cost them customers, according to details shared by News Channel 5 Nashville.
