Don’t Miss This Incredible Rare Sight in the Sky in ID, WA, and UT This Month
The sky is an incredible place. It is beautiful to look at during the night, and during the day, it can show a number of colors that wow everyone. During the night is the best time to see the sky. There are many stars, planets, and plenty to see with the naked eye and with a telescope. One great thing about living in this part of the country is that it is easy to escape the lights of town or a city and find some amazing places to stargaze and watch the nighttime sky. A rare and incredible show will soon be taking place in the sky that you can spot in Idaho, Washington, and Utah, and you won't want to miss it.
When is the Double Meteor Shower?
Not everyone likes watching the sky, but when something unique and rare happens, it is hard not to get excited and mark your calendar. On Tuesday, July 29, into the morning of Wednesday, July 30, make sure to get outside at night and look up to see a double meteor shower taking place. While a telescope will give you a better view, you should be able to see it with the naked eye, so long as you are in a dark enough place and there is no cloud coverage. The best time to catch the showers will be after midnight, with peak hours being between 2 AM and 4 AM. What is it that is causing these showers, and what should you expect to see?
Double Meteor Shower Happening This Month
What should you expect to see from a double meteor shower? It essentially will be like natural fireworks in the sky. You could see up to 25 shooting stars in an hour, bright fireballs in the sky, and long growing trails. One of the showers will be Alpha Capricornids, which will be the one producing the fireballs, and the other will be Delta Aquariids, which will produce the long, growing tails. This event only happens once a year, making it not often that you get to see something like this. While it might be the middle of the night, it is worth setting an alarm to get up and enjoy this spectacle for a few minutes.

Pull out your telescope or enjoy it with your naked eye; it is your choice, but it should be a beautiful sight to see.
