Don’t Miss These 8 Events to Enjoy This August Weekend in the Magic Valley

The weeks continue to fly by, and the good news is that it is time for another weekend. It is the part of the week we all look forward to, and is what we hold onto for getting through the work week. While staying inside and resting is nice, that can be saved for the long winter. There is too much going on to stay inside, and the weekends of warm weather are dwindling. While it will be hot, it shouldn't stop you from getting out this weekend and having some fun at one of the events happening in the Magic Valley. Here is what is going on this weekend.

Thursday, August 8 Through Saturday, August 10 - Jerome County Fair

Summer isn't complete without visiting at least one county fair in Idaho, and this weekend the Jerome County Fair is taking place. It will continue happening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with plenty of time to get out and have some fun, eat some food, and listen to live music. Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10 - The Gentlemen Comedy Tour

They say that the best medicine is laughter, and after a long week at work, a night out laughing might be what you need. Head over to the Orpheum Theatre this Friday or Saturday and check out the 'The Gentlemen Comedy Tour,' and enjoy a night of laughs and fun. There will be shows on both nights at 7 PM, and tickets start as low as $17.50. See comedians such as Scott D Henry and Heath Harmison. Saturday, August 10 - 10th Annual Summer Showdown Car Show

For anyone who is a car lover, make sure to head to Twin Falls City Park this Saturday for the 10th Annual Summer Showdown Car Show. Cars will begin rolling in around 8 AM and the event is free. Saturday, August 10 - Flower Fest and Vendor Market

If you are someone who enjoys fresh flowers and dreams of roaming through a beautiful flower field, this weekend is perfect for you. The Flower Festival and Vendor Market will be happening this Saturday at 22584 Hwy 30 near Kimberly from 10 AM to 5 PM. The event will allow you to roam the Legacy Family Farm flower fields and build your own bouquets. There will also be vintage items, jewelry, and much more. Saturday, August 10 - Magic Valley Food Dude's Pig Roast

Who doesn't like food? How does a pig roast to end the week sound? This Saturday there will be the Magic Valley Food Dude's Pig Roast happening at Food Truck Square, located at 1216 Filer Avenue beginning at 10 AM. There will be bounce houses, a cornhole tournament, food and more. Tickets are $25 for the first 25 people and $100 for a family of 5. Saturday, August 10 - Bride Expo and Bridal Olympics

Are you or someone you know planning a wedding currently? Do you plan on getting married in the future? If so, get your bridal party together, with your mom, or your best friend, and head to the Bride Expo and Bridal Olympics this Saturday. Saturday, August 10 - Bingo

When was the last time you played Bingo? If it has been a while, then don't miss your chance to play this Saturday. There is something about Bingo that is always fun, no matter your age. It'll be happening this Saturday at the Moose Lodge, located at 835 Falls Avenue in Twin Falls, and will be happening from 2 PM to 5 PM. Saturday, August 10 - Kimberly Ice Cream Social

Who doesn't like ice cream on a warm summer day? If you want to meet new people, enjoy some ice cream, and have a fun time, make sure to head out to Kimberly this Saturday for the Ice Cream Social.
