Have Fun at 8 Events the First Weekend in September in the Magic Valley
Labor Day has come and gone and the focus will now turn to enjoying fall festivities and events. While fall technically won't start until later this month, that won't stop many from focusing on it. The short work week and school week are making this week go fast, which means despite only working a few days, it is already time to focus on another weekend. Here are some events to help get you outside and to have some fun for the first weekend of September.
Thursday, September 5 Through Saturday, September 7 - Monster Bounce
If you want to get out and have some fun, no matter with kids or as an adult, you have to check out Monster Bounce while it is in Twin Falls. The massive bounce town is in the Magic Valley Mall parking lot and is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this weekend. A session costs $12 and sessions begin at 5 PM on Thursday and Friday, with the last session beginning at 8 PM. On Saturday, the first session is at 9 AM with the last session being at 8 PM. Thursday, September 5 - Jokers and Jester Comedy Tour
Laughing is one of the best feelings in the world and after some time at work having a little bit of time to forget your worries, your stress, and laugh is the best medicine. There is a comedy show happening on Thursday in Buhl that is the perfect place to have a laugh and enjoy an evening out. Jokers and Jester Comedy Tour will be happening at Magic Valley Brewing, located at 208 Broadway in Buhl, with doors opening at 6 PM and the show beginning at 7 PM. Thursday, September 5 Through Saturday, September 7 - CSI Volleyball
Nothing beats going to a live sporting event, and this weekend you will have plenty of chances to get out and cheer on the local college and their volleyball team. The CSI volleyball team will be in action multiple times this weekend, with matches taking place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The match on Thursday will be at 7 PM, the one on Friday will be at 6 PM, and there will be two matches on Saturday, with one at noon and one at 6 PM. Friday, September 6, and Saturday, September 7 - Monty Python's 'Spamalot'
Sometimes the best way to spend a weekend is in the theatre, and this weekend you have the chance to laugh and be entertained. On Friday and Saturday Monty Python's 'Spamalot' will be taking place at the Orpheum Theatre in Twin Falls. Showtimes are at 7 PM both nights and tickets start as low as $17.50. Friday, September 6 - Micro Wrestling All Stars
If you are looking for some unique entertainment this weekend and an event you and your friends or family will be talking about for a while, make sure to check out Micro Wrestling All-Stars this Saturday night. The event will be held at 360's Main Event Center at 348 4th Avenue South and will happen from 8 PM to 10 PM. If you have always wanted to watch little people wrestle this is your chance. Saturday, September 7 - Rim2Rim Race4Homes
For those who enjoy running or walking and getting exercise to start their Saturday morning, make sure to enjoy Rim2Rim Race4Homes happening this weekend. The event begins at 9 AM with multiple types of races to participate in. The 7.5-mile walk begins at 9 AM, with the 7.5-mile run starting at 10 AM, and with the 1/2 run beginning at 10:15 AM. Saturday, September 7 - Read to a Therapy Dog
If you have little ones who enjoy animals and like to read, make sure to not miss Read to a Therapy Dog happening this Saturday at the Twin Falls Public Library. The event is happening from 10:30 AM to 11:15 PM and kids can sign up for 10-minute segments to read to a therapy dog from the Pets Helping People Therapy Team. Sunday, September 8 - Hagerman Farmer's Market
With fall approaching, it means time to get out to a local farmer's markets is coming to an end soon. Make sure to catch the Hagerman Farmer's Market before it is gone for the season. The market takes place on Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM and is located at 18049 HWY 30 in Hagerman. They have vendors, live music, food, produce, clothing, and much more.
