5 Events To Enjoy The First Weekend of April in the Magic Valley
The weather has been fantastic this week, and it had many hoping to get outside and have some fun this weekend, but sadly, the weather will turn and this weekend will be similar to last, with wind, chilly weather, and perhaps some rain. It puts a damper on the weekend, especially in the spring when the weather isn't the best. Despite it being chilly, it shouldn't stop you from getting out and having a little fun this weekend at some of the events taking place around the Magic Valley.
Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5 - CSI Softball
Before the weather turns, make sure to get out this Thursday and Friday and cheer on the CSI Softball team. They will play four games this weekend against College of Southern Nevada, with two on Thursday and two on Friday. The team is currently on an eight-game winning streak and will look to extend it. They will play at 1 PM and 3 PM on Thursday, with the games on Friday being played at noon and 2 PM. For more on the team, make sure to click the link above.
Friday, April 5 - Ladies Night Prom Edition
After a long week at work, ladies deserve some time to be a lady, and this Friday they have that chance with Ladies Night Prom Edition at JC Penney in the Magic Valley Mall. The event begins at 5:30 PM on Friday and will include fashion shows, makeup tutorials, and refreshments. For more on ladies' night and to reserve your spot, make sure to click on the link above.

If you have a little one and need to get them out of the house for some entertainment this weekend, take them to the Orpheum Theatre this Friday or Saturday for Seussical Kids. It is a fun musical with some of the classic Dr. Seuss characters, that will entertain both kids and adults. Showtime on Friday is at 7 PM with two shows on Saturday at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets start as low as $9. For more on what is happening at the Orpheum Theatre, make sure to click the first link, and to get your tickets or to find out more about the show, click the second link.
Saturday, April 6 - Movie Matinee
Going to the movies is a fun time for the whole family, but can be a little pricey. If you are on a budget and can't afford to take the whole family, there is another way to go to the movies and do it for free. The Twin Falls Public Library hosts a Movie Matinee everyday Saturday beginning at 3 PM. Load up the car, head to the library, and have some free fun this weekend enjoying a movie.
