Have Fun at These 8 Events this September Weekend in the Magic Valley

The weather has turned and it is beginning to feel like fall, which seems fitting as the calendar will officially mark the end of summer this weekend, and fall will formally start. As we welcome fall, it is time to begin thinking about autumn events and activities. With the weather expected to be close to perfect, it makes it impossible to find excuses not to get out and have some fun this weekend. Enjoy your time off work this weekend, by getting out and having some fun at the events happening in the Magic Valley. Here is what is happening and what to do for fun to end your week.

Thursday, September 19 and Saturday, September 21 - CSI Women's Soccer

With the weather being so nice this weekend, finding a reason to get outside is a must, and what better way to get out than to cheer on one of the local sports teams? The CSI women's soccer team will be in action a couple of times, with a game on Thursday afternoon and a game on Saturday afternoon. Both games will be played in Jerome, with the first game happening Thursday at 1 PM and the second on Saturday at 11 AM. Thursday, September 19 and Saturday, September 21 - CSI Men's Soccer

The women's team won't be the only one in action, as the CSI men's soccer team will also have two games this weekend. The men currently are 3-2 on the season, with a game against Colorado Northwestern Community College on Thursday, and against second-ranked Salt Lake Community College on Saturday. The games will also be played in Jerome and will be taking place at 3:30 PM on Thursday and at 1:30 PM on Saturday. For more on the team, click the link above. 

Thursday, September 19 Through Saturday, September 21 - Monster Bounce

If you want to get out and have some fun, no matter with kids or as an adult, you have to check out Monster Bounce while it is in Twin Falls. This will mark your final chance to enjoy this spectacle. The massive bounce town is in the Magic Valley Mall parking lot and is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this weekend. A session costs $12 and sessions begin at 5 PM on Thursday and Friday, with the last session beginning at 8 PM. On Saturday, the first session is at 9 AM with the last session being at 8 PM. Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 - Princess Tea Party

For all of those who have children who enjoy tea parties and being a princess or prince, this is the day they have been waiting for. The annual Princess Tea Party is back and is happening this Friday and Saturday at the Historic Wilson Theatre in Rupert. There will be three sessions, with the one on Friday happening at 6:30 PM, and two on Saturday at 11 AM and 3:30 PM. Tickets are $25 for general admission or $40 for VIP. This event is open to both boys and girls, but all children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a tea party, cupcakes, and a chance to meet and greet the princesses. Friday, September 20 - Country Dance Nights in the Canyon

Do you like to dance? Have you wanted to learn how to country dance? You can have a special date night this weekend or you can learn how to dance on your own. Country Dance Nights in the Canyon will be happening this Friday at the Canyon Springs Golf Course beginning at 7 PM. It doesn't matter how experienced or inexperienced you are, everyone is welcome. Tickets are $10 per person. That will include the lessons, as well as appetizers and refreshments. Saturday, September 21 - Battleground Car Show

The Magic Valley is great at putting on car shows and is home to some incredible cars worth showing off. This weekend will offer a fun car show that you won't want to miss. Battleground will be happening at Harmon Park this Saturday beginning at 8 AM. Saturday, September 21 - Cornhole Tourney

Who doesn't like a good round of cornhole from time to time? If you think you are the best among your friends and family and want to put your skills to the test, make sure to enter the cornhole tourney taking place this weekend. The tournament is happening at The Pocket in Twin Falls, located at 1532 Kimberly Road. It is $50 per team with all the money going to payouts. Bags will begin flying at 1 PM on Saturday. Sunday, September 22 - Hagerman Farmer's Market

As fall gets underway this weekend, it means time to get out to a local farmer's market is coming to an end soon. Make sure to catch the Hagerman Farmer's Market before it is gone for the season. The market takes place on Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM and is located at 18049 HWY 30 in Hagerman. They have vendors, live music, food, produce, clothing, and much more. It is the first weekend of fall, and it will feel like it. Get out and have some fun.
