Parking can be a nightmare anywhere, but in Twin Falls, it can be a burden, depending on which parking lot you are in. Certain places don't have enough parking, some are too crowded despite having many spots, and in some places, the spots are too small. There is always a fear of hitting something in a parking lot, be it a person, a car, or a cart. No parking lots are the same. There is one parking lot in the Magic Valley that needs to be redone because it appears to have gotten messed up when it was designed. What parking lot is it? What is wrong with it?

Most of us have driven through it or sat in it many times. It is one of the biggest and most popular parking lots in the area, but have you ever noticed that it is messed up? The parking lot in front of Target, WinCo, Pets Mart, and other stores is a little off. Perhaps you have seen it, but didn't think anything of it, but the parking lot isn't even. In front of Target, parking spots are straight, but the further down you go towards WinCo, eventually the spots shift, to diagonal. It is the same parking lot, so why the random shift in parking spaces? Does it make a difference? Do you have a preference?

Many may not care which way their spots go, but for those that do, they would agree that diagonal parking, especially with a truck, as many in the Magic Valley have, is easier to pull in and out of. When going into Target, it is tempting to park further away and take advantage of the shift in the parking lot, to make it easier to pull in and out, and not worry about hitting anything or anyone. Did Target mess up their parking spot, and should they have gone diagonal like their shopping center neighbors? It may seem like a simple thing and an easy fix, so why hasn't it been done yet?

The next time you go to Target, WinCo, or any other store or eating establishment in the area, take a look at the parking lot and notice the random shift that happens. It looks off to go from one row to the other and see the change. Does it affect where you park when shopping in the area, or does being close to the building you are entering outweigh the parking spot?
