The fair is fast approaching in Twin Falls, and the Magic Valley is counting down the days. The rodeo, the games, the rides, the concert, and, of course, the food are all worth attending the fair for. When it comes to going to the fair, there are many things to know. The costs of tickets, which vendors will be at the show, and which food selections will be at the fair are all vital information. When attending the fair this year, there are certain items you need to leave at home as they are banned from being taken in through the gates.

Going into the fair is exciting, but there are certain things you can't bring in. Some items are obvious and others less so. It is important for everyone to have fun, be safe, and make sure the fair is enjoyable for everyone. Here are the items it is best to leave at home or in your car when attending the fair this year.

Many enjoy taking their fur babies everywhere they go, but unless they are a service animal, they will need to stay home when you attend the fair. There are plenty of animals for you to enjoy without having to bring yours.

Before you freak out, you are able to carry guns into the fair, so long as you are licensed to carry. If you are not, you know already you shouldn't have one anyway. Leave bats, knives, and rocket launchers at home as they will not be allowed through the gate.

The fair is often visited for food and drink, which is why you can't bring in your own, which raises the question, why would you want to? You are going to the fair to eat and drink, so no outside food or drink needs to be brought in with you.

Many enjoy taking their drones with them everywhere to capture everything, but the fair is not a place where you can bring them or fly them around. No drones allowed.

While driving an ATV through the fair could be fun and make for an easier time getting around, other fairgoers will not appreciate it. Sorry, unless you need a wheelchair, you will not be using a four-wheeler.

While it is tempting to load up a cooler with fair food to take home so you can enjoy it at a later date, the cooler will need to be left in the car or at home. Eat what you buy or carry it around and take it back to your car once you are done

No Skateboards, Skates, or Bikes at the Fair

Similar to ATV, it would be fun to skate, skateboard, or bike around the fair to save you from walking, but they are not allowed. Much of the fair is on grass, making it difficult to use these in any way.
