This is the Way Idaho: What Force is Behind May the 4th Celebrations?

If you have never experienced the total joy of enveloping your entire existence around ‘Star Wars’, you haven’t truly lived. There’s a distinct excitement in the atmosphere when May the 4th comes to our office. We are encased in the nerd super-fan obsession of our office manager. The fandom surrounds us and binds the office together. Admittedly, we play along for her benefit. Of course, we only do it for her. We don’t enjoy it at all.

Is There a Force Behind Celebrating May the 4th in Idaho?

We understand some people may have an interest in items themed on the 'Star Wars'  franchise. There may be a few littered around the office for the sake of decoration to break up the monotony. There are even a couple available to win on our Morning Show Games.

We have a party complete with games and prizes every May 4th. I don’t think the station even foots the bill for the prizes, I think she does that herself. We potluck with enthusiasm. This year, the office manager will be unable to attend the May 4th festivities. Should we even have a get-together without her? Should I return my Stormtrooper costume? Should we still make the ‘Star Wars’ themed food? Maybe I’ll just take her a plate. She would want it that way.

The party isn’t long ago, or far away. You can make it happen if you use The Force - and snacks. We’ll celebrate anything for snacks. If anyone says live long and prosper on this day, they may be sent home without ‘chocolate chip wookies’.
