RECALL: Imported Pork Brand Sold In Idaho May Contain Bacteria
An internationally imported pork brand sold in Idaho has been recalled due to concerns about bacterial contamination. The flagged meat shipped from Italy to Florida and is distributed to locations in Idaho, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced the recall of 1,500 pounds of a ready-to-eat pork product called Guanciale, shipped throughout the United States by Prime Line Distributors, Inc., a Fort Lauderdale processing plant.
The recall was issued over the holiday weekend.
A Pork Product Shipped From Italy and Sold in Several States, Including Idaho, Has Been Recalled Over Possible Listeria Contamination.
The recalled meat was originally processed and packaged in Italy on May 21, 2026, and during a routine inspection, it was determined that the product may have been contaminated by the Listeria bacteria, which can result in illness if consumed by humans. Symptoms include fever, severe headaches, and potentially fatal illness in infants, according to AURI.

Packaging lot numbers to look for on the flagged products include 263311US and IT 1937 L CE, with best-by dates of 5.16.27, according to the USDA. To date, no illnesses from the product have been reported, according to the UDA release.
Anyone who believes they have been sickened by the pork product is asked to immediately call 888-674-6854. If you have this product in your possession, you are asked to discard it or return it to the store in which you purchased it for a refund.
