It is that time once again, where the weather is going up and down, allergies are picking up, and some nasty illnesses are making the rounds in the Gem State. During late winter and into early spring, it seems like more and more people are getting sick. Sometimes it can be just a head cold, other times allergies, and for many, one of the other illnesses flying around. There are some nasty cases of the flu going around this year, COVID is once again in the area, and some other things you don't want to catch. Typically, when the weather begins to change, and the calendar is flipping to March, most are afraid of getting the sniffles, a bad cough, or some type of illness that will have them begging to stop the pressure in their head. While all of these are going around, they aren't the only things to keep an eye out for. There is a stomach bug currently circulating, causing residents in the Magic Valley and throughout the Gem State to feel miserable. It is highly contagious, and there is no doubt about whether you have it or not; you will know. It will wipe you out of everything inside your body and have you contemplating if there is anything worse in life.

Each body is made differently, so how the stomach bug affects you will depend on your body. For some, it will lead to hours on the toilet, with their back end making inappropriate noises, and will drain you of every liquid in your body. For others, you will still be in the restroom, but become intimate with the toilet, with a hug that will last hours and a face to bowl experience. If you are the unluckiest of all, you will experience both. Other than diarrhea and throwing up, other symptoms include being lethargic and likely sleeping most of the day, a lack of appetite, and perhaps experiencing hot and cold flashes. The good news is that it appears to only last about 24 hours, with another day needed to fully get your strength back after the end of the symptoms.

It isn't fun, and hope is high that you won't come into contact with anyone who has the stomach bug that is going around, but if you do, make sure to clear your schedule, because you will need access to a bathroom frequently, and likely will be sleeping for most of the day.
