When Is It Time to Change Clocks Back in the Gem State?
Twice a year there is a day on the calendar that many in the country hate. It happens on the weekend every time and takes place once in the spring and once in the fall. What is this terrible day? It is Daylight Saving Time. For years the argument has been made to end the time change, but unless you live in Hawaii or Arizona, you have to suffer with changing your clocks forward one hour in the spring and back one hour in the fall. The days continue, and many are left asking when it is time to change the clocks back in Idaho.
When is Daylight Saving Time in Idaho?
It seems like it has been so long since the last time change, and that is because it has been. Clocks sprung forward on March 10 earlier this year. Typically the time change doesn't feel like it lasts this long, but it is normal. With it being over seven months since the time change, it seems like it is due to change clocks back. The time is coming soon, but there are still a few more weeks. The time change will take place on November 3 this year, meaning you can enjoy longer daylight a little bit longer, before it begins getting dark for the drive home from work.
Should Idaho Get Rid of Daylight Saving Time?
The time change has been a major discussion for years, and many have been begging for it to come to an end. The extra daylight used to be beneficial to golfers, farmers, and those looking to take advantage of the daylight during the spring and summer months, but with the advancement of technology and the ability to use lights in fields, on golf courses, and for other activities, it isn't as useful as it once was. The time change takes an adjustment period, with many needing a few days, and others needing a week or two to adjust. It is especially tough for parents with little kids and getting them on a new sleeping schedule.
Make sure to mark your calendars and do not forget to change your clocks in November. If you do, you might be early to church on Sunday or early to work on Monday. You might be waiting impatiently for football on Sunday or to watch a show you want to watch on television. For now, Daylight Saving Time is still a thing in Idaho, and until it changes, everyone will have to deal with the time change twice a year.
