8 Fun Events The First Weekend of September in the Magic Valley
Labor Day is over, and to some, that means that summer fun is over, and now it is time to wait for fall fun to begin. While it isn't time yet for the typical fall events, there are still plenty of fun things to get out and do this weekend. It is the first full weekend of September, and here are some events to get out and enjoy in the Magic Valley.
Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6 - CSI Volleyball
This is a great week to get out and enjoy some CSI sports, and it will all begin with the CSI volleyball team. They will be in action multiple times this weekend, playing their first match on Friday at 5 PM against Northeastern Junior College, which is ranked sixth in the country. The following day, on Saturday, the team will play two matches, with one at 11 AM against Eastern Wyoming College, which is ranked 13th, and then at 5 PM against Central Wyoming College. The team is currently on a five-match winning streak and last weekend defeated the number one team in the country. For more information on the team, please click the link above.
Friday, September 5 - Boise State Football
Boise State football is something many Idaho residents look forward to each fall, and while the season didn't start as many as hoped, that doesn't mean you give up on the team. This Friday will be the home opener and the first chance to see the 2025 team in action this year on the blue turf. This Friday, the Broncos will take on Eastern Washington at 7 PM. The game will be on FS1 for those who can not attend, or you can make the drive to Boise and enjoy the game live. For more on the game or to get tickets, make sure to click the link above.
Saturday, September 6 - CSI Women's Soccer
Last week, CSI opened its new soccer stadium in Jerome, and the women's soccer team opened it up in style with a 2-1 win over Casper College to start the season 1-0. They will be back in action at home again this weekend and look to add another victory to their record as they play Truckee Meadows Community College this Saturday at 11 AM.
