What Would You Do? Missionaries Coming to Your Home in Idaho
What would you do? What would you do if you heard a knock on your door or the doorbell ring and looked outside to see two missionaries standing at your door? Do you ignore them and hope they go away? Do you answer and tell them you don't want to hear their message? Do you reply and let them talk to you and say what they have to say? Do you invite them in or ask them to leave? We have all dealt with them at one time or another and know they have a message to deliver, but when they come to your door, what do you do?
Missionaries in Idaho
The Gem State is home to many Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and other religious groups, with some of them deciding to take their message and spread it door-to-door. With spring officially here and the weather getting nicer, many are beginning to do so to spread their message, but not everyone is welcoming to them. The timing can often be bad with a baby napping, in the middle of making dinner, or perhaps when you are sleeping or trying to get somewhere in a hurry. During these instances, it is easy to take your frustration out on them, but they are not meaning to disturb you or ruin your day. When the time comes that they knock on your door, what is the proper way to react and handle the situation?
How to Handle Missionaries in Idaho
When missionaries come to your door, rather than taking your frustration out on them, it is best to ignore them and not answer your door. While there is a chance this may lead to them coming back again shortly, it is better than belittling them. If you can do so, it is best to answer the door and explain the situation and that you aren't interested or don't have time. While this may take up some valuable minutes and open you to conversation you don't want, it is respectful and a way to tell them to not come back politely. You could always give them the time of day and offer them a snack or drink as they go door-to-door, but only if you have time and are willing to do so.

It is rarely ideal with these individuals come to your home, but they are spreading a message they believe in and want you to hear it as well. There is no reason to be mean to them, but you can politely tell them that you have your own beliefs or perhaps already are familiar with their message. If they were to knock on your door this spring, what would you do?
