What Would You Do? Snoring Obnoxiously Loud on a Flight to Idaho
What would you do? What would you do if you are flying on a plane this holiday season, or anytime for that matter, and found yourself next to someone fast asleep, but they begin snoring loudly? What if you are the person that is snoring loudly? Flying can be exhausting and catching a few minutes of sleep is normal, but when snoring begins and is next to you, or it is you, then the dynamic changes and one must ask, what would you do?
Snoring Loudly on a Plane
As the holidays draw near, many of us will be traveling, and in doing so, may take the time to have a quick nap on the plane. This isn't a big deal and is common, as many people sleep on planes to make it through the flight, but when you do, if you start snoring, it may cause a few issues for those around you. If somebody wakes you up due to your snoring, do you apologize, or do you get offended and upset they woke you, or perhaps you ignore them and go back to sleep? Getting angry doesn't seem like it would solve anything, but depending on how tired you are, it may be the natural reaction. You can't help snoring, and you have as much right to sleep on the plane as anybody else.
Annoying Passengers on Planes
Going the other way, how would you react if the person next to you is snoring? Do you wake them and disturb their sleep, in the hope, they will be friendly about it and it will stop? Do you let them sleep and put on headphones or try to fall asleep yourself so you hopefully won't hear it? What if it isn't bothering you, but someone sitting around you complains and asks you to wake them up? Do you give in to their request or do you ignore it since it isn't bothering you? I am somebody that personally would not want to disturb them, and would either sit there annoyed or try to distract myself to ignore it. I may perhaps film it and laugh a little, depending on how loud and obnoxious the snoring is.
While you get ready to travel this holiday season, make sure you pack your nose strips or take a nap before the flight, and hopefully, you don't find yourself in this situation. A friend of mine recently woke up a man that was snoring too loud, and the argument that ensued was something he was not ready for. Make your decisions wisely if you are in this situation, and if you are the one snoring that gets woken up, try not to get too upset. Have a happy holiday season and safe, quiet travels.
