4 Types of Idaho Flyers: Which Kind Are You?
Traveling is one of the many enjoyments in life. It is nice to see new places, and new cultures, and to get away from home from time to time. Getting out of routine every so often and taking a vacation is a must, and there is so much to see in this country, and even more to see in the world. When travelling you can always jump in the car and drive, but sometimes taking a flight is the easier and better route to go. For anyone who has flown, we all know there are different types of flyers, but when it comes to flying to and from Idaho, which kind are you?
The Selfish Flyer
Everyone knows or has seen a selfish flyer. This is the person who doesn't care about anyone else on the plane, and things have to be exactly how they want. They want their suitcase in a certain spot and will move others to make it work. They will take over arms rests and get as cozy as possible, and might even not have headphones in so everyone is forced to hear their music or movie. They likely have a suitcase too big to be a carry-on but are determined to make it fit in the storage area above. These are the type of people you hope are not seated next to you, and if they are, your flight will seem a little longer than it is.
The First Time Flyer
Bless these people. They have no idea what is going on, what to do, or even where to go. They likely are confused about what to pack and bring, meaning they have far too much, and they don't know how to recline a seat, armrest protocol, or when they can stand up and use the restroom on a flight. They might be a little anxious, and not be the best at sitting still. They will likely want a window seat to look out or perhaps are stuck in the middle, not realizing the awfulness they signed up for.
The Experienced Flyer
These are the best types of flyers. They know what is going on and have a routine down. They likely can get on a plane, get their luggage put away, get their seat, and be ready quicker than most. They also get off the plane fast and know how to navigate an airport well. These types will likely be generous when flying too and let the middle person have the armrest, or might even take the middle seat themselves. That won't always be the case, since they are experienced flyers, they will know how to be comfortable when they fly and have their preferences as well.
The Hoarder Flyer
This is similar to the first-time flyer, except every time they fly they bring everything they own. They likely fly with their pets and have two oversized bags that are too big to carry on, and then have checked multiple bags as well. This person packs the same way if they are flying away for a weekend or going out of the country for weeks. It is entertaining to watch them try to navigate an airport and an airplane.
While there is no right or wrong way to fly, the important thing is to remain courteous of the other flyers around you as well. You are never the only one on the airplane, so you shouldn't act as such. The next time you are set to fly out of or into Idaho, look around the plane and airport and see if you can spot which one each person is. You may come up with your own category as well. The question is which one are you, and are you aware of it?
