Yellow Brick Café in Downtown Twin Falls to Close Permanently

After seven years of serving farm-to-table meals and becoming a local favorite for breakfast, lunch, and brunch, Yellow Brick Café (YBC) in Downtown Twin Falls is closing its doors for good. Known for its commitment to locally sourced ingredients, the café was a go-to spot for quality coffee, meals, and weekend brunch gatherings.

Heartfelt Farewell from the Owner

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, owner Kathy McRae announced that the café’s final day of service will be October 13, 2024. “We are facing the incredibly hard decision to close our doors,” she shared, citing personal reasons and a desire to focus on her family. The building itself will soon have new owners, though it appears the new occupants will bring something different to the location.

While the café will be missed, McRae expressed deep gratitude to the community, writing, “To our beautiful YBC Family, Thank You. For everything. It’s a bittersweet end, but I have made this decision with my head held high.”

Farewell Events to Mark the Closing

YBC will remain open during normal business hours leading up to the closure. To mark the occasion, the café will host two final events:

  • Saturday, October 12th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – A Fall Wine Sale, with discounted bottles from their entire inventory.
  • Sunday, October 13th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – A farewell party featuring live music, food, drink specials, and sales on merchandise.

This farewell weekend offers loyal patrons a chance to celebrate the memories created at Yellow Brick Café before it closes its doors for the final time.
