The Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah is usually a pretty scary experience, depending on which rides you go on, but it’s extra scary right now until they close for the season.

Frightmares started on September 5th and runs through their closing day on November 9th, 2025. Lagoon will still be a great place for thrill-seeking people who prefer their adrenaline rush to come from a roller coaster, but the park is also loaded with scary haunted houses and spooky attractions.

Tickets to Frightmares at Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah

My family loves going to Lagoon, and for the last few years, we have made it our goal to go during Frightmares. There are a few reasons for that: it seems like the lines for the rides are shorter since it’s towards the end of the season and the weather is cooler (so no Lagoon-a-Beach for us), and you get the extra haunted attractions that aren’t available during the summer if you want them.

Lagoon is open on the weekends through November 9th from 5-11PM on most Fridays, 10AM to 11PM on Saturdays, and 10 AM to 8PM each Sunday. The weather could affect the schedule, so make sure you check their website before you head out.
