Last weekend was a dangerous and tragic one across Idaho as multiple car accidents took lives and injured others.

4 Fatalities Including 1 Juvenile in Idaho Highway Accidents Since Saturday

Among those killed were a juvenile in Canyon County, 2 adults in a separate Canyon County crash, and a male who was injured in a previous accident succumbed to his injuries over the weekend.

There were also 5 people reported as injured and requiring medical attention at hospitals in crashes on Idaho roads. Below are the accident reports from the Idaho State Police, they are not in chronological order.

Teen Killed in Idaho Car Crash

Saturday evening, ISP responded to an accident at Southside Boulevard and Melmont Road in Canyon County. A juvenile was killed in the crash, a male driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and a female passenger was taken by air ambulance to the hospital:

A juvenile, from Melba, Idaho, was driving a 1992 Ford F150 pickup eastbound on Melmont Road. A 2012 Toyota Camry, driven by a 44-year-old male, also from Melba, was southbound on Southside Boulevard. The driver of the Ford F150 did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Southside Boulevard and Melmont Road, colliding with the Toyota.

The juvenile was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash. The 44-year-old male driver of the Toyota and his passenger, a 43-year-old female Melba, Idaho, were wearing seatbelts. The male driver of the Toyota was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The female passenger was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital.

The tragic accident is being investigated by ISP, along with all accidents listed in this article.

2 Adults Killed in Dump Truck Accident in Idaho

The most recent accident involved a dump truck and a pickup truck pulling a trailer. Both drivers were killed in the crash that happened Monday afternoon around 2:45 on US20/26 near milepost 18 in Canyon County:

A 49-year-old male from Caldwell was driving westbound in a 2007 Mack dump truck on US20-26. A 58-year-old-male from Nampa was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, pulling a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser on a 2020 C&B flatbed trailer, eastbound on US20-26. The Mack dump truck went off the road and overcorrected causing the vehicles to collide head-on.

The driver of the Mack truck and the driver of the Chevrolet succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing his seatbelt.

At the time of this article, the police have not updated the report, but Idaho 511 shows that the road is now cleared and back open.

Idaho State Police Update Injury Accident to Fatal Crash

ISP issued an update on Monday that the driver of a white Dodge Ram involved in an accident on April 16th had passed away from his injuries. His pickup truck had struck a semi-truck in a head-on collision on US12.

2 Other accidents, both of them Saturday evening, resulted in injured occupants of the vehicles being transported to hospitals. In one accident a male driver failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a parked train. In the other, a police officer was in a stationary police car with a male in custody in the back seat. They were struck by an elderly driver on US95 in Fruitland and transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals.
