If you are still working on a New Year's resolution to eat healthy, the next few days are going to be tough for you. Easter is this weekend and it’s a holiday known for baskets filled with sugary candies and endless platters of fattening deviled eggs.

Easter candy might be even worse than Christmas or Halloween. With those two holidays there is usually a mix of soft candies and hard candies. Halloween candy is all individually packaged, so it takes more time and effort to eat. But easter candy all seems to be soft, small, and easy-to-eat candies.

This is the Most Popular Easter Candy in Idaho

The first thing my kids do when they get their baskets is open all the eggs and dump the contents into the basket. Then they can just grab a handful of whatever and eat without thinking. That’s especially true when it comes to the most popular candy in Idaho: Jelly Belly.

Is there a candy easier to eat than a handful of small jelly beans?

Surprisingly, the only other state with Jelly Belly as its top candy isn’t even a state, it Washington DC.

Jelly beans are a solid choice for good easter candy. What are they thinking in the other 18 states where Peeps are listed as the top choice?

Are Jelly Belly Really the Favorite Easter Candy in Idaho

If you look at the methodology in the article from Inner Body, you see that the rankings are based on Google searches for that item. So all the states that have Peeps as the top choice may really be searching for ‘How to get rid of Peeps without eating them’ or ‘Which holiday treat is worse, fruitcake or Peeps?’

In Idaho, we may be searching for where to get Jelly Belly or checking to see if there are any new flavors. That’s probably the case with the Peeps states - there are a lot of new Peeps flavors other than the basic yellow chicks.
