One of Idaho’s Amazing Golf Courses is For Sale. Will it Be Turned Into Housing?
A popular, and very beautiful, golf course in Southern Idaho has been listed for sale and it has some people worried that it might be turned into a subdivision of new homes.
One of the Most Beautiful Golf Courses in Idaho is For Sale. Will it Become a Subdivision?
I only heard about this story because of a concerned resident in Southern Idaho who has seen the listing shared in a national golf magazine. The headline from Golf Week calls it a ‘breathtaking Idaho golf course on a famous (and endangered) river’ in their article. They even call Twin Falls a ‘quaint paradise’ - that’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about us.
The property has a price tag of $18.5 million and the article doesn’t mention anything about the property becoming a housing subdivision, so it isn’t clear why some people think it would. Maybe that’s just the way things have been going, with prime or desirable land being sold to make housing developments.
The listing can be seen on the Coldwell Banker website with details on the property. At Golf Homes, there are at least 4 listings for the property and 2 of them say it is a 2 bedroom 1 bath property, but not that it (or the land) will become a subdivision.
Canyon Springs Golf Course has 18 holes nestled in the Snake River Canyon near the Perrine Bridge and Centennial Waterfront Park.
