The Idaho State Police have reported what could be the largest injury accident on Idaho highways this year. The initial report shows 32 vehicles were involved, including 25 motorcycles and 7 other vehicles, with at least 15 people taken to local hospitals with injuries.

Miraculously, considering the magnitude of the crash and the large number of motorcycles involved, there were no fatalities reported in the crash. The accident is under investigation by ISP.

15 People Injured in Massive Idaho Highway Accident Involving 25 Motorcycles and 7 Vehicles

The accident happened on October 3rd while a group of motorcycle riders was on a memorial ride. Around 12:20 PM, the bikes and other vehicles were headed westbound on Interstate 84 in Canyon County at mile marker 28, near the 10th Ave ramp.

The report and news release from the Idaho State Police don’t specify exactly how the accident happened, only that the group was traveling on the highway ‘when a crash occurred causing several vehicles to come to rest in the westbound lanes.’

In total, there were 25 motorcycles with an unspecified number of riders (drivers and passengers) and 7 other unspecified vehicle types. The report is also unclear on how many occupants were in the other vehicles.

At least 15 people were taken by air and ground ambulance and personal vehicles to local hospitals.

Comments on social media say the motorcycle group was Brother Speed and the honor ride was for a friend who had recently passed away from cancer. There is debate online about the cause of the crash being a biker who lost control or a vehicle that 'brake checked' the group. ISP will investigate and determine the cause.

A video comment on the ITD post also appears to show the scene as crews were responding.
