Injury Motorcycle Accident on Idaho Highway Sunday Afternoon Updated to Fatal

The driver of a motorcycle who was injured in an accident on Interstate 84 on Sunday has reportedly passed away at the hospital.

Motorcycle Rider Killed in 3 Vehicle Accident on Idaho Highway

The accident happened on August 2nd, around 1 PM, on I84 at mile marker 48 and involved three vehicles.

• A 2026 Kawasaki ZX636 (Ninja ZX-6R) driven by a 20-year-old male from Meridian
• A 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 60-year-old female from Meridian
• A 2015 Ford F150 driven by a 61-year-old male from Boise

The Idaho State Police report states that the Kawasaki was traveling east on I84 when it ran into the back of the Chrysler. The biker was then struck by the Ford pickup.

The Kawasaki rider was wearing a helmet and was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. An updated report was released a few hours later, around 9 PM, that the rider had passed away at the hospital.

No injuries were reported in the Chrysler or Ford, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Idaho State Police also reported an injury accident on July 31st in eastern Idaho involving two vehicles at an intersection on US91 (also known as Yellowstone Highway) near Shelley.

A 69-year-old female of Rexburg was driving a 2022 Toyota Venza eastbound on E 1500 N. A 40-year-old male of Idaho Falls was driving a 2013 Chevrolet City Express, northbound on US91.

The Toyota reportedly continued through the intersection and struck the Chevrolet. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were taken to local hospitals for care.
