Road conditions and alcohol could be possible factors in a recent accident in Northern Idaho that has been updated as a fatal crash. The accident happened a few weeks ago on Monday, February 12th.

Alcohol and Road Conditions Possible Factors in Deadly Idaho Crash

Idaho State Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on February 12th around 6 PM on US 95 between Worley and Coeur d’Alene at mile marker 406. The driver in the accident has now passed away. The ISP report states:

A 1997 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by a 26-year-old male from Plummer, ID was traveling northbound when he lost control and rolled off the right shoulder. The driver was ejected and not wearing a seatbelt. The driver had been transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. On February 26th, the driver succumbed to his injuries at a local hospice.

The accident happened near the Coeur d’Alene Casino and just a few miles from the Idaho/Washington border.

Idaho State Police are still investigating the accident. Idaho 511 is also reporting that US 95 is still partially blocked as crews are repairing the guardrail in the same area where the crash happened.
