It was an exciting, and frustrating, week for people who wanted to see the Northern Lights over Idaho. Counting a small chance tonight, we’ve had three nights of Aurora Borealis performances.

For most of us here in Idaho, the best night for seeing the lights was Tuesday but many were still getting great pictures on Wednesday despite cloud coverage in some areas. There is still a chance to see the lights tonight, but the best chances have past. For now.

LOOK: Some of the Best Northern Lights From Idaho

I live on the south side of Twin Falls in Southern Idaho, and was only able to see the lights on Tuesday evening. I didn’t leave the city and could have had a much better experience either night in a location where the lights of Twin Falls and Jerome weren’t lighting up the horizon and hiding the aurora.

Other people were more motivated and shared their amazing photos with us. Check them out below and at each Facebook post you can share your pictures if you haven’t already. After the recent pictures you can see the gallery from last year, which we think was a more vibrant show in Idaho.
