115 Thousand Fish Stocked This Month in These Idaho Lakes
Some might say there isn’t a bad day to go fishing. But, there are definitely better days than others and those better days might be today.
The Idaho Fish and Game has released their trout stocking highlights, including where they will place approximately 115 thousand catchable-sized rainbow trout around Idaho.
Some lakes have already been stocked in September and others are on the list to receive their share of the rainbow trout.
More Than 4 Thousand Fish Stocked in This Popular Southern Idaho Lake
Dierkes Lake in Southern Idaho is one of the many lakes that received a new batch of fish. In the first week of September, 4,500 trout were stocked in the lake. Dog Creek Reservoir, Lake Cleveland, and Thorn Creek Reservoir all received at least 2,000 fish.
During the week of September 16-20, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir is scheduled to get 13,500 rainbow trout and Sublett Reservoir will get 3,000.
Other small lakes and ponds will also get hundreds of rainbow trout throughout the month.

Other lakes across Idaho, such as the Panhandle, Clearwater, Salmon, and other regions, will also be stocked with tens of thousands of fish this month. The largest stocking, other than the 13,500 trout stocked in Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir, will be the 13,270 rainbow trout stocked in the Island Park Reservoir between September 23rd and 27th.
