Hopefully you enjoyed the mini spring season we just had because winter is still in session and making sure we know it this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a number of advisories that will remain in effect for the next few days and could be upgraded from advisories to warnings if conditions worsen.

Weather alerts include a Winter Weather Advisory in the Pocatello and Shoshone areas. Boise is under a Wind Advisory and the majority of Southern Idaho will see rain and snow over the next few days leading up to the weekend.

We don't have any reports of school closures yet, but that can change as the weather begins to worsen.

Weather in Idaho can be hard to track and the NWS has specifically said in an email alert that this storm has a 'Very tight temperature gradient making precipitation type tricky to forecast, leading to relatively low confidence in snow totals for some areas'.

The good news is that once we get into the weekend, temperatures across the board look to be in the 50's and even up into the 60's for some areas.

Don't put away the winter clothes yet though, as we know the 12 season in Idaho show that Fool's Spring can still make way for Second Winter and then Winsprummal before 3rd Winter hits.
