Why Our Top Politicians Will Be in Southern Idaho on Thursday
Elections are just around the corner, but political excitement is coming to Southern Idaho this week.
Most of the top political figures in Idaho will gather together in a small city in the southern part of the state.
Idaho's Head Politicians Will Be in Jerome This Week
On October 24th, 2024 top politicians and members of influence in the state will be in the city of Jerome. Among those expected to attend are Idaho’s Governor Brad Little along with Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke. Idaho Supreme Court Justice Robyn Brody and Secretary of State Phil McGrane will also be attending the meetings. Many directors of state departments will be there too including:
- Idaho State Department of Agriculture Director Chanel Tewalt
- Idaho Office of Energy and Mineral Resources Administrator Rich Stover
- Idaho Department of Environmental Quality Director Jess Byrne
- Department of Health and Welfare Director Alex Adams
- Department of Insurance Director Dean Cameron
- Department of Lands Deputy Director Bill Haagenson
- Idaho Transportation Department Chief Deputy Director Dan McElhinney
- Idaho Department of Water Resources Deputy Director Brian Patton
Members of the community are also invited to meet together with the representatives.
Jerome Will Be The Capitol of Idaho For 1 Day
The event will be happening as the City of Jerome hosts ‘Capitol for a Day’ on October 24th. Residents can meet at El Sombrero Restaurant from 10 to noon and then from 1:15 PM to 3 at the Jerome High School to discuss ways the government can help the community and what makes a government good.
