Southern Idaho Weather Announcement For Wednesday, February 19th
Looking at the forecast for tonight through Thursday, Pocatello and other parts of southeast Idaho will be hit the hardest. But cities in the southwest won’t go untouched. The storm won’t be as bad as the one that rolled through last week on Thursday, but it’s still worth watching out for.
Pocatello is looking at 1 to 3 inches of snow on Wednesday with an additional inch on Thursday morning.
Boise will get hit with rain and snow Wednesday and then snow flurries are possible on Thursday.
Twin Falls has snow in the forecast, but it’s mainly rain that will fall over the next few days. Some show the possibility of an inch of snowfall in the Twin Falls area.
Rain and Snow Equals Slush and Danger on Idaho Roads
But whatever snow does fall will mix with the rain and become slush at some point. Even if there isn’t much rain, the temperatures will be above freezing which could lead to snow melt, ice, slush, and again - dangerous road conditions.

If the roads get too dangerous, schools could be forced to close or end classes early. Watch our school closures page for updates.
