2 Popular Southern Idaho Boat Docks Have Reopened for 2025

After a few years of limited water access in Southern Idaho due to the Quagga Mussel invasion and eradication along with dock closures due to upgrades, the announcement of any waterway being open comes as a relief for the new year.

In the news brief from Idaho Power, it was announced that the Twin Falls Power Plant boat dock and shore area has reopened with many upgrades. The North Park campground and boat docks at C.J. Strike Reservoir have also reopened with new floating docks. Additional updates will be made this year at other docks around the reservoir.

The Power Plant Park changes include some very necessary changes and upgrades. Those additions include additional parking spots, a vault toilet, and improved shoreline stabilization. As part of previous changes, the road was widened down to the water from the upper park, and a new staircase was installed for pedestrians.
