
Washington Woman Seriously Injured in Fiery Rollover Crash in Idaho
The Idaho State Police reported two serious accidents over the weekend. One involved a female driver from Washington State who was injured in a fiery rollover accident, and the other accident claimed the life of an Idaho driver after he hit a cow on the highway and was then struck by a truck.
ISP have also extended their application deadline for new troopers due to a shortage in coverage, specifically in northern Idaho.

The Idaho State Police have reported a scary accident north of Boise that happened over the weekend. A driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll and later catch on fire.
The accident happened on Sunday afternoon at 3:35 on SH55 just north of Horseshoe Bend at mile marker 65, which is about 20 miles north of Boise. The accident report from the Idaho State Police states the following:
A Toyota RAV4, driven by a 32-year-old female from Renton, Washington, was traveling southbound on SH55 when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled before becoming engulfed in flames.
The driver was injured and taken by air ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Idaho State Police shared a news release on their website informing potential troopers that the deadline to apply for the next round of training was extended.
ISP has struggled to fill shifts and provide the essential coverage needed on Idaho roads, especially in Northern Idaho. The new deadline for applicants is October 17th, 2025, to be eligible for the 2026 training in January.
