18 Year Old Woman Injured in Southern Idaho Car Crash
Tuesday morning a young female driver was injured in an accident near Chubbuck.
Young Woman Injured in Southern Idaho Car Crash
Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover accident near Chubbuck, ID on Tuesday morning. The accident happened around 11:25 AM on I86 westbound at mile marker 61 which is just a short distance from the I-15 interchange. The police report states:
A 18-year-old female, from Chubbuck, was driving eastbound on I86 in a 2015 Jeep Patriot. She failed to maintain lanes and went into the median and rolled. The vehicle came to rest partially blocking the left lane of westbound lanes of travel.
She was wearing a seatbelt. She was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The crash blocked the left lane of I86 for approximately 3 and a half hours.
Road Construction Continues on Highway Near Chubbuck
To the east of the accident, construction continues on the roads around the I-15 and I-86 interchange which isn’t expected to be finished until the end of October this year. E Chubbuck Road is closed in both directions between Sacajawea Drive and Fairgrounds Road. There is also night construction on the I-15 northbound and I-86 westbound ramps this week from 9 PM until 6 AM through Thursday the 28th.
