Reactions from Idaho residents from Boise to Twin Falls and beyond have been steadily showing up on social media since news broke that a nurse involved in the 2018 murder of a Colorado mother during the Thanksgiving holiday has had her license reinstated.

The Kelsey Berreth case shocked the country seven years ago and forever linked two counties in Idaho and Colorado. When the dust settled, Berreth's fiancé Patrick Frazee was found guilty of murdering her with a baseball bat in her home and then burning her remains. The victim was living in Teller County when she was murdered.

Frazee had an accomplice who served less than three years in jail and who helped clean up the bloody crime scene and dispose of evidence, including the victim's cell phone. At the time of the murder, Krystal Lee Kenney was a nurse in Twin Falls County, Idaho. Kenney was questioned by police shortly after Berreth's cellphone pinged from a tower in Gooding, Idaho.

READ MORE: Anonymous Letter Claims Krystal Lee Kenney Back Nursing in Idaho

For the past couple of weeks, I've been getting anonymous letters and emails sent to me at work regarding this case. Numerous area residents, including those working in healthcare, have informed me that Kenney had her nursing license reinstated and is working just outside Twin Falls.

This week, I received confirmation of this in the form of a Nursys Quick Confirm License Verification Report through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). I have omitted the name she is using and the identification number from this story out of respect for privacy, but was sent the printout by an anonymous individual who resides in the community.

The reinstatement date is listed as March 27, 2023, according to the NCSBN report. Her current license does not include full privileges.

On June 23, a Townsquare Media story was shared by a top contributor on a Southern Idaho Rants / Raves website. Below are some of the reactions from area residents to the news:

'OMG! This is insane!'(-EZ)

'Look it up. She is (reinstated)!' (-anonymous)

'I would let Krystal nurse any member of my family'. (-SH)

'I'm sorry, but ANYONE who has been an accomplice to a murder SHOULD NOT be in the medical field!' (-MJM)

'I worked with her years and she is an amazing nurse and person that was manipulated by a psychopath.' (-TB)

There were more than 120 comments shared on the Meta page regarding the story.

We would again like to invite Krystal for an interview (studio or phone) to discuss her life post-conviction.

We wish Krystal the best and would just like to offer her a platform to address the community.
